What are you doing tonight? If the answer isn’t “Going to Lake Harriet to see The 4onthefloor and Smokey and the Bandit” then cancel everything and change your answer. We are quickly approaching the end of a beautiful Minnesota summer (“Minnesota Summer: fitting a year’s worth of activity into three months!“) and this is the perfect send-off.
Not familiar with The 4onthefloor? Get ready to stomp. Their music is fun, rowdy, and makes it impossible to stand still. I wasn’t super familiar with them before attending a show last summer but their enthusiasm and talent quickly made me a fan. Also, beards. Glorious beards.
It’s been a long time since I saw Smokey and the Bandit but I know it involves a truck full of beer being smuggled over a border. So basically, most Sundays on I94 between Hudson and MSP.
The 4onthefloor and Smokey and the Bandit are presented by Music & Movies in the Parks. This event is at the Lake Harriet Bandshell (4135 W Lake Harriet Pkwy) and is FREE.
