LRT highlight of the morning: a young woman in the seat ahead of me is studying for a Spanish test at the U, reading and saying phrases out loud.
About three stops after I notice this, another woman, older, sits next to the studied. She notes the work, asks about the class, and points out that she teaches Portugese at the U. Not the same, but close enough that bam, instant tutoring session. 🙂
“You know where I mean, over by that big orchestra building? [Orchestra Hall] It’s all architectural and shit.”
I don’t care whether you’re listening to music or religious talk shows, wear some damn headphones!
(Someone behind me is listening to some religious show about which bible is the most accurate, it has lots of yelling.)
For some reason, the “66612” on this makes me chuckle.
Sitting across from some college kids who are discussing possible choir/band tours…
“Where is Missouri?”
Person waiting for train and reading a handout titled “Why Buddhist chaplaincy now?”
It was just a bit random, but awesome!
More mornings than not, there is at least one person on my train who is on their phone having a friendly and social conversation.
This always make me think a)people still make social phone calls?? And b)apparently there are social circles where social calls at 8am are acceptable, but it’s certainly not mine!
